Where to Find IT Jobs that Actually Pay Well

Let us present a dilemma for you. Would you get an IT jobs in the Philippines where the pay isn’t that great and the work hours are insane? Or would you rather go for a job that’s also in the IT industry and pays well. Throw in a few extra things like paid leaves, medical benefits and all those bells and whistles. Which would you get?

The answer is pretty obvious anybody would pick out the latter because that would mean that they would be able to earn enough money to live a comfortable life for themselves and even their family. They could even start saving up for their goals like traveling abroad or starting a family.

But that could only be the case when people know where to find IT jobs locally. But where can they do that? Here are a few tips on the places where individuals can find quality IT jobs. Remember though, that at the end of the day, it’s still up to them to seal the deal and get started with work. They have to be able to impress or at the very least pass the interviews and exams before they get the work. It’s not going to be a walk in the park where people just turn up, tell the HR or recruiting specialist that they want a job and they get handed the job. That would be terrible too.

Going back, here are a few places a person could get work that’s rooted or directly involved in the IT industry.

  1. Online Job Portals – This is a neutral zone to be honest. There are IT companies that don’t pay well and mistreat their employees lurking in these job portals. But at the same time, there are a hundred different IT companies that provide good jobs for people with a great company culture and benefits. When a person does go forward and start looking for jobs here, they really need to be aware that they may deal with either bad or good companies. It’s up to them to do their research and background check.
  1. IT Company Website – if you are a person is looking for work from a specific company then they could also try sending their applications directly to the company. It is the 21st Century already and most companies know better than to avoid place a careers or job page on their official website. Applicants can easily go and email their CVs directly to the company’s HR department. The only downside here is that there’s no telling when the company would respond; worse if they even respond at all. All they really need is a lot of patience and hope. Also when they do get scheduled for an interview, the next step is to show up and impress the interviewers with your skill and know-how.
  1. The Company’s Competitor – in the unfortunate event that the applicant does not get hired by the company they were looking forward to work for, there is still hope. The next logical thing to do is to send applications to the company’s competitors. And in the IT industry, that is a lot of companies. Applicants just need to be patient and diligent and of course, show them what makes them a good addition to the team.
